Explore Transylvania with us

Hi, my name is Cristian Caprioara (funny story: my name translates to Christian Deer) and I am a national guide and mountain guide, as well as a ski monitor in Romania.
Ever since I was a child I’ve been fascinated with the wonderful mountain landscapes. Many times I’ve wandered alone along mountain roads and winding trails leaving the marked paths to nose around and find out what lied behind virginal areas. Soon after that, the passion for the heights followed and that was the moment I knew what I had to do next. It had come the time to share with others every beautiful thing I had experienced while exploring wild woods and barren peaks. Therefore, I invite and welcome you all to accompany me in my journeys.
After I graduated the Faculty of Geography within the University of Bucharest I discovered the fun part of mountain adventures. Since 2007, I stated the training courses to become a tour guide, and, afterwards, I specialized in becoming a mountain guide certified by the Romanian Mountain Guides Association – Mountain Guide Certification Course/AMPSR). Later, I attended the Ski Monitoring course being accredited by the Romanian Association of Professional Ski Instructors (AMPSR).
In 2010, I took the decision to work as a mountain guide during summers and as a ski monitor during winters. The same time, I attended several training programs to consolidate my knowledge in this area and, since 2015, I took a deeper interest in outdoor tours so I volunteered to work on various biodiversity projects alongside biologists, silviculturists and geographers. My main activity is within tour guiding and with each and every tour I try to enrich my experience and offer better services.
