Follow Vlad the Impaler - a tour of several sites that were related to the Romanian ruler’s life, such as: the Poienari Castle; and the former capital cities of the historic Romanian province of Wallachia (Tara Romaneasca) - Curtea de Arges, and Campulung Muscel; we will also discover legends, understand the historical truth and enjoy the magnificent landscapes of Fagaras Mountains.

One of them is known all over the world as Vlad the Impaler who was a determined opponent against the Turks. His tenacious fight attracted the envy of the local nobility and the way he used to punish the ones that opposed him brought him the reputation of a very cruel leader. His character and the impalings he ordered draw the attention of writer Bram Stocker who introduced him in his novel – Dracula – thus giving birth to one of the most notorious fictional characters in the world.
